ABOUT US
Bag Bros Karl and Campbell were hooked by California Sandbag the day they first played. CSB offer such a great social platform for fun and competition it was undeniable to the brothers that this was something they had to do. With youth and ambition on their side they approached the Global RMEVP and MBM in Santa Monica about bringing CSB to the New Zealand shores. Of course they said yes. “Bag On!” and here we are still lobbing hard 8 years later.

RULES
SET UP
Position Board on flat, level ground with Upright firmly seated in slot at top of board
(tighten adjusting screw if Upright fit is too loose). Board should not rock or move with
light hand pressure applied to the corners of the Board.
DISTANCE
Mark a throw line about 24 feet (7.3m) from Board hole centre. A player 5’10” tall
will be standing 24 feet (7.3m) from Board hole centre when hole in Upright is visually
centred in Board hole. Adjust distance as best suits players and conditions.
RULES
PLAY (think horse shoes; singles or doubles)
Choose lead-off Bagger. Alternate throws. Only two Baggers per round.
Low point Bagger leads off next round.
SCORING
1 point for Bag-On; 3 points for Bag-In. Net Differential Scoring: total up points for
each player’s four Bags; deduct low point total from high point total and award differential
to high point Bagger. No point earned if any part of Bag is in contact with the ground. Game
to 21. Special recognition: 4 Bags-In (in competition only) qualifies as an official ‘4 Bagger’. Celebrate wildly. Send picture to website.
BAG OFF
A Bag must be immediately removed from Board if:
1.) Bagger’s foot touches throw line during toss (Foot Fault) or,
2.) Thrown bag contacts ground before Board (Dirt Bag).
RESPECT THE BAGGER,
THE BAG AND THE BOARD. ENJOY!
SETTING UP YOUR LOB
SYNTHETIC TURF
If you are playing on concrete or a rough hard floor we recommend placing the board on a patch of synthetic grass. This limits the board sliding and will reduce wear on the Bags and Board.
LOB TRAY
The Lob Tray is an essential tool in the set up
of a Lob Session. The Lob Tray not only gives sanctuary for your Bags but also a place to
put your all important drinking vessel.
When you are setting up your Board at your local Lob, we recommend the following
to help protect your Board and Bags and get the best experience while playing.
